This relative result may be visualized if Genome ARTIST employs the specific annotations for natural transposons, which are available on FlyBase (see Additional file 1). The coordinate 19677229 stands for a possible site of insertion, as many copies of opus are present in the genome of D. melanogaster. When using a query sequence derived by splinkerette PCR, Genome ARTIST is expected to provide mapping coordinates for a unique, specific opus copy
