Gene structure (a), predicted Rep motif (b) and helicase domain (c) of reconstructed putative autonomous Hel1 and Hel2 Helitrons from C. vestalis, P. machaon, A. rosae and P. tepidariorum. In the alignment of the Rep motif, representative structure was from Myotis lucifugus (HeliBat1), Arabidopsis thaliana (AtHEL2P), Anopheles gambiae (Helitron_Ag1), Streptomyces cyaneus plasmid (Rep_SC) and Bacillus borstelensis plasmid (Re_BB). In the alignment of helicase domain, representative structure was from Myotis lucifugus (HeliBat1), Arabidopsis thaliana (AtHEL2P), Anopheles gambiae (Helitron_Ag1), Danio rerio (Dr_Helentron1) and Saccharomyces cerevisiae (PIF1_YEAST)
