TPase - nuclear export signal (NES) mutants contain alanine substitutions at the two conserved leucines in the predicted NES (Ping 384+386, Pong 418+420). Error bars represent the standard error. Sequence of the NES for the Ping and Pong TPase proteins are shown in the top left corner. Residues that match the consensus NES are in red.
