From: Regulators of ribonucleotide reductase inhibit Ty1 mobility in saccharomyces cerevisiae
Gag protein processing not affected in mutant strains. Yeast strains containing the galactose-inducible plasmid pGTy1his3 AI[Δ 1] were grown in galactose containing medium at 26°C (left panel) or 34°C (right panel) for the indicated time. Total cell extracts were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted for Ty1 gag protein or control protein Gadph. Unprocessed Gag-p49 and processed Gag-p45 were detectable in all strains after 6 or 12 hours of galactose induction at both 26°C (left) and 34°C (right).
